Duncan High School in Duncan, Oklahoma will be the newest member of the ScoreVision family once their new LED jumbotron scoreboards are installed next week. These jumbotron scoreboards will also function as multimedia displays, allowing classes to structure curriculums around the displays. Clubs and other organizations outside of athletics will also be able to leverage the system throughout the whole school and community.
In a recent article published by the Duncan Banner, the school announced the upcoming installation to their community, showcasing their dedication to innovation and increasing opportunities for their students.
Craig Benson, Athletic Director at Duncan High School, mentioned that “the addition of the scoreboards will create opportunities for students to sell advertising and create video highlights of the athletes.”
The district’s superintendent, Melonie Hau, was also very happy to see the community come together to get these scoreboards which she hopes will add to the game-day atmosphere.
“The scoreboards add an exciting and dynamic game experience for our students and fans,” Hau said. “They also benefit students and the athletic department by providing opportunities for student media production through video ads.”
The whole community rallied together to make this upgrade a reality for the local high school, and the new ScoreVision system was funded completely by local donors so that no school funds were touched for the project.
