Grinnell High School’s Athletic Director Chris Coffman didn’t upgrade to a ScoreVision system because of necessity but by choice. The school already had a relatively new scoreboard, but the uncapped potential offered by the multimedia displays coupled with ScoreVision’s digital ad capabilities were a deal too good for Coffman to pass up. He appreciated the versatility of a ScoreVision system beyond the athletic scope, and recognized an opportunity for revenue.
“It’s been interesting. I’ve had five or six people this basketball season come up and say ‘Hey, I’d like to be able to [advertise] on that board.” – Coffman.
Along with paid sponsorships, Grinnell HS has used the displays for multiple Senior Nights, a girls’ basketball pep assembly, and they have begun discussing when to integrate the ScoreVision system with their academic curriculum.
